Treatment areas
Facial balance, from every angle
A contour that catches your eye in profile can look different from the front. Dr. Alex, DNP, assesses both views and the relationship between features before recommending placement. The plan may involve one area or several, with the amount chosen for your anatomy.
Lips
Lip filler
An option for adding fullness or adjusting shape. The starting point is the relationship between your lips, chin and the rest of your face.
Lip borderDefinition
Targets a softened outline when definition is the priority. A consultation distinguishes a concern about the lip edge from a concern about overall volume.
Lip linesSmoker's lines
Selected fine lines around the mouth may be considered for a small amount of an appropriate product. Skin quality and movement also influence the approach.
Middle face
Cheeks
Assessment looks at midface volume and contour, including how the cheek meets the lower eyelid. Placement is planned around the support your face needs.
Under-eyesTear troughs
For selected patients with hollowing beneath the eyes. Swelling, skin thickness and the contour of the cheek can make another approach more appropriate.
Nasolabial foldsSmile lines
These creases follow the sides of the nose toward the mouth. The surrounding cheek is assessed before deciding whether direct treatment is useful.
Temples
Loss of fullness at the sides of the upper face can change its outline. Treatment requires an individual assessment of the area and its risks.
Lower face
Chin
Projection, length and the transition to the lower lip are considered in profile. Filler may help adjust proportion when it is suitable for the anatomy.
Jawline
Aims to refine selected parts of the lower-face contour. The consultation considers whether volume, skin laxity or another factor is affecting definition.
Marionette lines
The area below the corners of the mouth is assessed together with the chin and jaw. Selected placement may soften a crease or loss of support.
Hands & Sculptra
Hands
Age-related volume loss can make the tendons and veins on the backs of the hands more prominent. Ask whether a suitable filler could address your concern.
SculptraCollagen stimulator
A separate option that stimulates collagen rather than adding hyaluronic acid gel. Its gradual approach is discussed when considering a longer-term volume plan.
Dissolving
Filler dissolvingHylenex · hyaluronidase
Previous hyaluronic acid filler can be assessed for treatment with Hylenex. Bring details of the product and when it was placed so the next step can be planned carefully.
The consultation is a chance to compare possibilities, including leaving an area untreated. You will understand the recommendation before deciding what comes next.

Your features, carefully assessed
DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Filler planning with Dr. Alex, DNP, includes the areas around the feature you came to discuss. She assesses the face at rest, checks its proportions and asks about earlier treatments before considering where additional volume belongs.
Her preparation includes graduate study at Florida International University and experience in hospital medicine and private plastic surgery. She explains the purpose of each proposed placement, with a preference for measured treatment and review rather than deciding everything by syringe count.
Softly restored. Never overdone.
Effortless beauty.

Questions
Fillers in Manhattan, answered
What to consider before a Manhattan filler visit, from product choice to planning your time at the office.
(646) 347-2833How is filler priced in Manhattan?
Filler pricing is per syringe, with the total determined by the product and treatment plan. Lips may require a different amount from cheeks or the jawline. Dr. Alex, DNP, assesses the requested areas in context and gives you the Manhattan price before treatment.
What are dermal fillers made of?
The hyaluronic acid fillers offered here are gels designed to add volume in selected areas. Hyaluronic acid also occurs naturally in the body. Sculptra uses a different material and is discussed separately as a collagen-stimulating treatment.
How long do fillers last?
The area, product and your own response affect longevity. The practice generally discusses six to twelve months for lips and twelve to eighteen months or longer for some other facial areas. Your consultation will put those broad ranges in context for the proposed product.
How do you plan a subtle filler result?
Tell Dr. Alex, DNP, how subtle you want the change to be, including anything you disliked about previous filler. The intention is to maintain proportion across the face. Starting with a measured amount and reassessing can be part of the plan; individual results cannot be promised.
Does filler hurt, and will I bruise or swell?
Numbing measures can reduce discomfort, but injections can still cause pressure or pain. Swelling and bruising are possible, and the extent varies. Before booking around an event, discuss the area you want treated and the time you can allow for recovery.
Can filler be dissolved?
Some hyaluronic acid filler can be treated with Hylenex, a hyaluronidase product. It requires its own assessment and risk discussion, and the response may call for further treatment. Other filler materials do not dissolve in the same way, so the details of any previous injections matter.
Do you treat under-eyes and temples?
These areas are assessed individually in Manhattan. An under-eye concern may come from hollowing, swelling or skin quality, and filler is not suitable for every cause. Dr. Alex, DNP, reviews the anatomy and explains whether treatment in that area, an adjacent area or a different approach makes sense.
How should I prepare, and how long is the visit?
The Manhattan filler calendar reserves two hours. Follow the office instructions, bring your medication and supplement list, and share details of previous injections. Do not change a prescribed medicine on your own to prepare for an appointment; speak with the prescribing clinician first.
