Microneedling

Your skin's own renewal, put to work

Microneedling creates fine, controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your skin answers them the way it answers any small injury — by making new collagen and renewing itself — so texture and tone refine gradually, over a series of sessions.

Texture and pores

Rough, uneven or tired-looking skin, and pores that look enlarged. As collagen renews, the surface reads smoother and more even, and pores look less visible.

Acne scarring and fine lines

The pitted or uneven marks left behind by past breakouts, and early lines with a loss of smoothness. Both improve over a series, as new collagen fills in from beneath.

Regenerative add-ons

PRF, made from your own blood, BENEV exosomes or VAMP PDRN can be applied during treatment to support the regenerative process. Dr. Alex, DNP, recommends one only when it suits your skin.

How it works

  1. Consultation

Dr. Alex, DNP, looks at your skin and reviews your health history, then recommends a plan — the number of sessions, any add-on, and the skincare that protects your results at home — with the cost before anything begins.

  2. Treatment

The skin is cleansed and numbed, then a microneedling device creates fine, controlled micro-channels. PRF, exosomes or PDRN can be applied as part of the treatment.

  3. Results and series

Expect redness for a short time afterwards. Skin renews over the following weeks, and results build over a series of sessions spaced to let collagen develop.

Your provider

Microneedling, planned by Dr. Alex, DNP

DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Dr. Alex, DNP, is a doctorate-prepared aesthetic nurse practitioner: a BSN from Georgian Court University, a master's and doctorate at Florida International University, seven years in hospital medicine and two in private plastic surgery.

Microneedling is a plan, not a single appointment: which concerns to treat first, how deep, how many sessions and how far apart, and whether an add-on will help. She builds that plan around your skin and what you see in the mirror, and pairs it with the skincare that protects your results between visits.

Softly restored. Never overdone.
Effortless beauty.

How much does microneedling cost in Manhattan?

Pricing depends on your plan — how many sessions and whether you add PRF, exosomes or PDRN. Dr. Alex, DNP, gives you the exact figure at the consultation, after looking at your skin and hearing what you want to change, and you will know the number before anything begins.

How many sessions will I need?

Results build over a series. The number depends on your skin and your goals — texture and pores often respond sooner than acne scarring — and Dr. Alex, DNP, will plan it with you at the consultation.

Does microneedling hurt?

A numbing cream is applied beforehand, so most people describe a light, scratchy sensation rather than pain.

What are the add-ons?

PRF, made from your own blood, BENEV exosomes and VAMP PDRN can each be added to the treatment when appropriate, to enhance the regenerative process. Dr. Alex, DNP, will recommend one only if it suits your skin.

What should I avoid afterwards?

Expect redness for a short time afterwards. Follow the aftercare instructions you are given: gentle skincare, no makeup or strenuous exercise for the time recommended, and daily sunscreen to protect your results.

Can I start with a virtual consultation?

Yes. Dr. Alex, DNP, offers in-office and virtual consultations, so you can talk through your skin and your goals before your first treatment in Manhattan.
