Lip filler

Fuller, softer, still yours

Dr. Alex, DNP, treats lips with hyaluronic acid, adding it gradually and judging each step against your whole face. The result should look like balance — lips that suit your features, not lips that arrive before you do.

Volume and shape

For lips that have thinned, or that you would like a touch fuller. Filler goes in a little at a time — often half a syringe at a first visit — so the shape stays natural.

Lip border and definition

A fine line of filler traces the edge of the lip, sharpening the outline and bringing back a cupid's bow that has flattened over the years.

Lip lines

Soft, low-volume filler for the small vertical lines above the upper lip, so lipstick stays put instead of feathering.

How it works

  1. Consultation

Dr. Alex, DNP, assesses your lips against your chin, cheeks and profile, listens to what you would like, reviews your health history and gives you a plan with the cost upfront.

  2. Treatment

Numbing cream comes first, and most fillers include lidocaine. Filler is placed in small amounts, with shape and symmetry checked throughout.

  3. Results and follow-up

You will see the new shape straight away. Swelling is normal and eases over a few days; if you want more, it is added at a later visit rather than all at once.

DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Dr. Alex, DNP, completed her master's and doctorate at Florida International University here in Miami, following a BSN from Georgian Court University in New Jersey, and worked in hospital medicine and private plastic surgery before opening her own practice.

To her, lips are about proportion: upper to lower, lips to chin, profile to front view. She plans them as part of the whole face and builds over two visits when needed, because a little less is always easier to live with than too much.

Softly restored. Never overdone.
Effortless beauty.

How much does lip filler cost in Miami?

Lip filler is priced per syringe, and many first treatments use one syringe or less. Dr. Alex, DNP, confirms the exact cost at your consultation, after seeing your lips in the context of your face and talking through what you would like.

How long does lip filler last?

Usually six to twelve months. Lips are always moving, so filler there breaks down faster than in the cheeks or chin. It fades gradually, so there is no sudden drop-off.

Will my lips look overdone?

That is exactly what Dr. Alex, DNP, works to avoid. She adds filler in small steps, checks it against your other features, and prefers a second visit to an overfilled first one. The best lip results are the ones people notice without being able to say why.

Does lip filler hurt, and will I swell?

Most people feel pressure or a quick pinch, since numbing cream is applied first and most fillers contain lidocaine. Lips swell more than other areas and usually settle within a few days; bruising is possible. If you can, avoid alcohol, fish oil, ibuprofen and aspirin for a few days before.

Can lip filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so lip filler is never permanent. It is rarely needed, but it is also how older filler from another provider that has migrated or looks heavy can be cleared before starting again.

Can I start with a virtual consultation?

Yes — a virtual consultation with Dr. Alex, DNP, is a good way to discuss your lips and goals before your first treatment in Miami.
