Treatment areas
Botox, area by area
Oakhurst stocks Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, and Dr. Alex, DNP, helps you choose between them. Before anything is planned she watches your face in conversation and expression, then treats each area on its own terms — with the aim of softening lines while preserving natural expression.
Upper face
Forehead lines
Lines that run across the forehead from years of lifting your brows. A carefully chosen dose can soften them, with brow position and movement considered in the plan.
Frown linesThe elevens
The "11" lines between the brows that read as worry or irritation. Softening them is one of the most popular first treatments, and one of the most noticeable at rest.
Crow's feet
The creases beside the eyes that deepen when you laugh. Treated gently, so your smile still crinkles where it should.
Brow lift
Carefully placed units let a heavy or drooping brow sit higher, opening up the eyes without surgery.
Temporalis
The temple muscle involved in clenching. Treating it may relieve tension headaches and grinding, and can add a subtle lift at the outer brow.
Middle face
Bunny lines
Lines across the bridge and sides of the nose that appear when you smile broadly. A few units calm them, often after the forehead has been treated.
Nose
A small dose at the base of the nose can reduce flaring and a tip that drops when you smile, without changing the shape of the nose.
Slim nose
Softens the pull of the muscles that flare the nostrils, giving the base of the nose a slightly slimmer look — a nonsurgical option for anyone curious about a narrower nose.
Lower face
MasseterJaw · TMJ
The large chewing muscle at the angle of the jaw. Treatment gradually narrows a heavy jaw and helps with clenching, grinding and jaw soreness.
Lip flip
Not filler: a few units at the upper lip border let the lip turn out slightly, showing more of it when you smile.
Chin
Eases a chin that dimples or puckers when you talk, leaving a smoother surface.
DAODownturned corners
Relaxes the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth down, so your neutral expression looks less tired or sad.
Nefertiti lift
Doses along the jawline and neck soften the downward pull of the platysma, sharpening the line from jaw to neck.
Neck bands
Prominent vertical cords on the neck, relaxed for a smoother, more even neckline.
Beyond the face
Underarms
Excessive underarm sweating eased for months with a single treatment — handy through a Jersey Shore summer.
Palms & hands
Treatment for sweaty palms that get in the way of daily life, so shaking hands stops being a worry.

Botox in Oakhurst, with Dr. Alex, DNP
DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Dr. Alex, DNP, is a New Jersey–trained nurse — BSN from Georgian Court University in Lakewood — who went on to a master's and doctorate at Florida International University and seven years in hospital medicine before specializing in aesthetic medicine.
Her Botox philosophy is simple: treat the muscle, respect the expression. She maps how your face moves, doses each area individually and starts conservatively, so any adjustment is a small top-up at a follow-up rather than a result you have to wait out.
Naturally refreshed. Prevention-focused.
Effortless beauty.

Questions
Botox in Oakhurst, answered
The questions we hear most from first-time Botox patients in Oakhurst. Anything else, give us a ring.
(848) 275-3676How much does Botox cost in Oakhurst, NJ?
Botox is billed per unit, and your muscles — not a menu — decide how many. Dr. Alex, DNP, sets the dose at your consultation after seeing your expressions, which is why we do not post area prices that may not apply to you. You will know the full cost before treatment begins.
Botox, Dysport or Xeomin — which one will I get?
Oakhurst carries all three, and each relaxes the muscle beneath a line in the same way. Dysport can kick in a little faster and spread a bit more, Xeomin has no added proteins, and Botox is the most familiar name. Dr. Alex, DNP, will suggest the right one for you, and is happy to stay with a product that has worked for you before.
Will people be able to tell?
People tend to notice that you look less tired, not that you have had something done. Dr. Alex, DNP, uses conservative doses and keeps your natural movement, so your expressions stay warm and believable.
How many units will I need?
That depends on the strength of your muscles and how many areas you treat; men generally need more. Dr. Alex, DNP, chooses each dose after watching you move and errs on the low side — more can be added at a follow-up, while too much simply has to wear off.
How soon will I see results, and how long do they last?
Expect the first change within three to seven days and the full result at around two weeks. On facial lines it typically lasts three to four months, often a little longer once you are on a regular schedule. Masseter treatment lasts longer — usually four to six months.
Can Botox slim my jaw?
Yes. Masseter Botox relaxes the chewing muscle at the back of the jaw, gradually slimming a wide or square lower face and easing clenching, grinding and TMJ-related soreness. Expect the shape to change over a few months rather than weeks. Dr. Alex, DNP, will check at your consultation whether your jaw width is muscle that will respond.
Can I drive myself home afterwards?
Absolutely — you can drive yourself and carry on with your day. Just stay upright, avoid rubbing the treated areas and skip the gym until tomorrow. Small bumps at the injection points fade within about an hour. Bruising is possible, so schedule at least two weeks before an important event.
How do I book Botox in Oakhurst?
Online, or call (848) 275-3676. Oakhurst runs on scheduled appointments rather than walk-ins, so booking reserves real time with Dr. Alex, DNP, including a full consultation before your first treatment.
Is my late twenties too early to start Botox?
It is not. Preventative Botox uses small doses to relax habits of expression before they leave lasting lines. Age matters less than what your skin is doing: if a line lingers after your face relaxes, it is worth a conversation; if not, Dr. Alex, DNP, will happily tell you to wait.
